Rosa's Story
Life
I never knew how far i could go until now. I am happily married to a great guy (he's not perfect, but is great) who loves me like no one has ever loved me before. I have one kiddo, Gervante(4 years old). He is an amazing child. I was married at age 19 and am now going on 9 years of marriage. It has not all been peaches and cream, as a matter of fact...it has been a lot of work maintaining a marriage now a days. However, i never cease asking my Father in Heaven for guidance. God knows we wouldn't have survived without Him. No matter how in Love we may be, It takes faith and a God who can do all things to make it happen. Oh by the way, i accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior about 8 years ago, so if i seem spiritual, you know why. My life has definately taken some positive directions. I have always known what i wanted in life, but now that i am sure, i have pursued my dreams. I joined the Army Reserves and received college money. I have an Associate's Degree, Bachelors Degree(Political Science and Business Administration), and am working on my Master's Degree(Intl. Relations) along with my Juris Doctorate Degree. Because i have just started the joint degree's, it will still be a few years before i can take the Bar Exam and Practice Law, but look for me, i will be a Great Attorney...That's Confidence! I believe in obtaining higher education. It is very important to me because of the society i live in. I k...Expand for more
now who i am, and i don't take that for granted. I have faced several struggles in my life, but i am greatful for all the adversity that i have had to face. It has built my character and has molded me into the extrodinary women that i am today. I love me and most importantly, I love my Family and God. Without my husband's support, i couldn't of made it this far. And i refuse to be less than what God has called me to be. I wasn't the best academic student in high school, but today i am aware of my potential and show off every time i get the chance...it's no wonder that i am at the top of my graduating class. When it comes to an academic challenge, I love to flex my muscles. I never knew i had it in me, but now i know. I am not trying to be cauky, just exposing some of the things i didn't know about me. It took me years to discover who i was, and i finally know now. I had to undue several lies and teach myself the truth and be good to myself. I still have a long road ahead of me, but so far i have been successful and am content, but i won't quit achieving my goals and you shouldn't either.
School
If I could do High School all over again with what I know today, I would. Not only would I, but I would definately be in the top 5% of my graduating class and I would have become a cheerleader instead of a Jannette...nothing personal to you die hard Jannette fans!...but I would have probably enjoyed this more:)
