Rose's Story
My name is Rose Chester Curtis I was born in Inverness, Florida on March 2,1958.After Graduation I moved to Gainesville, Florida. I Begin working at the University of Florida in 1980. I was active in sports. In 1987 I Married Pastor Nathan Curtis. In January of 1989 I found out I was pregnant about 2 months later I became very sick at work I was 3 months pregnant and was having a stroke. I was rushed to the hospital where my husband was told to have the baby aborted but him being the praying man like I knew he told them no. I became partially paralyzed on my left side where I remained for the duration of my pregnancy.9 months later I gave birth to a 5 lb 8 1/2 ounce baby girl. who I name Amaris(whom God hath promised) Shaina (Beautiful). consistantly go to church, praise God and thank him for what I was going through. God totally healed my body I am now able to use my left side walk without a limp. I thank God for the miracle but that is not all God has done for me. When I Got to the age 40, I found out i was born with a hole in my heart. I underwent open Heart surgery and the surgeon close the hole. and about months later I developed congestive heart failure. The surgeon had to perform another open heart surgery and replace the mitral valve with a metal valve. Now ten years have gone by and last year this time I was diagnosed with gastric Cancer. so on December 15,2007 I was admitted in The hospital to have my stomach remove. I can honestly say Thank God because the cancer did not spread I am cancer free.
