Rose's Story

I am a woman in love with all that our Lord created: People, Nature, Purity, and all Goodness. Since I am unable to create as He has, I strive to capture the beauty of the world around me with my camera, and also through other art forms such as pen & ink drawing, painting, etc... I also enjoy Calligraphy, Origami, Paper Cutting and other crafts. I am a devout Roman Catholic who loves attending daily Mass with my Husband, and receiving and adoring, our Eucharistic Lord. Thank you God for all this beauty which you share with us everyday! I have 2 Online stores that feature my photography on a variety of items: Clothing (T-Shirts, Jackets, Baby Onsies, etc...), Mugs, Mousepads, Buttons, Stickers, Cards, Hats, Clocks, Aprons, Coasters, Teddy Bears and more, My store with Virtuous Planet (a Catholic/Christian run site) is at: virtuousplanet.com/artists4god There are over 550 different photos and computer generated pictures of mine. My other store with CafePress (a Secular site) is at: cafepress.com/artists4god There are many different sub-categories that are easily accessibly by the links on the lefthand sidebar. And finally I have 3 Photography & Prayer Books which I self-published. Buying them will help donate money to Life Affirming Charities like St. Luke's Mission of Mercy in the heart of Buffalo, NY which helps the poor and homeless. The 1st Book is "Joyful Jewels": lulu.com/content/230808 "JOYFUL JEWELS" combines over 70 full-color photos of God's beautiful creation of flowers, combined with heartfelt meditations on the Joyful Mysteries of The Rosary (written by my father who led the daily Rosary at Church for 10+ years). ------------------------------------ The 2nd book I created was "Works of Mercy" to raise money for the Poor and Homeless. lulu.com/content/525151 100% OF OUR PROFITS* FROM ALL SALES THROUGH OUR "STOREFRONT" WILL GO TO HELP THE POOR, HOMELESS, AND YOUNG SERVED BY ST. LUKE'S MISSION OF MERCY. "Works of Mercy" is an eclectic mix of Artistic and Literary works from 15 artists, brought together in collaboration to help raise money for charity. There are: 35 (8x10) lovely frameable Prints, 15 touching Poems (11 of which are 8x10 and frameable as well), 3 moving Essays, and several beautiful prayers, in "Works of Mercy". Why not buy 2 copies? One to keep as a book, and one to remove the prints and frame them? The money goes to a wonderful cause, so, you can't go wrong! (*Profits being the amount above and beyond Lulu's small commission and their binding & printing costs) --------------------------------------------- The 3rd Book is "Rose's for our Lord and Lady": lulu.com/content/2474302 Touching meditations on the 20 Mysteries of The Rosary paired with over 100 lovely photographs. The Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Meditations were written by my father, Robert Santuci. He used them when he led the Rosary daily at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Hamburg, NY. The Luminous Meditations were written by me. In honour of my father Robert, and my mo...Expand for more
ther Anna (who both went to their eternal reward in 2004 after 50 years of Marriage) a portion of all profits from the sale of this book will go to Life-Affirming Charities. There are many photos of local WNY Churches and Natural Wonders in this book, as well as many other lovely photographs. ================= School Well...lets see... I'm not sure what they want here, but, here goes nothing... I went to St. Agnes school on Ludington in Buffalo from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Then I went to Nativity of Our Lord in Orchard Park from 5th grade until 8th grade and graduated in 1976.... Then I went to Orchard Park High (in, guess where? -- Orchard Park) from 1976 - 1980. That was a great school experience! I met so many wonderful people and got along with just about everybody: "Quakers","Motorheads", and all the great people who didn't belong to either of those groups (like me!). I miss: *Skipping out of lunch (bad Rosie!) and going to McDonalds with my cousin Cathy Kessler and Shari Steiner, or to the lockers on the 2nd Floor next to the library (?)! *Singing in 3 different choruses my senior year and running between them to go back on stage. *Mr. Yunke's great biology class! *All the cute boys! (You know who you are) *Meeting in "The Back Room" (by Mrs. Readers Home Ec. Class) with my friends before homeroom started. *And so many other things! Hi Everybody! Workplace I really love children! Because I love children, I went to school to be a teacher! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education: Special Ed. and Elementary Ed. I taught severely multiply handicapped children at Our Lady of Victory Infant Home for 9 years before moving on to my current job as a Respite worker for families with special needs children and/or adults. As far as I am concerned the special children I taught are the most "perfect" people that God has put on this earth (and that I had the honour of serving). They can never intentionally hurt anyone or sin. I've been with Heritage Centers for over 9 years. As you can tell, when I take a job they just can't seem to get rid of me! In addition to my Respite Job I been working (since July 2002) as a Receptionist and Switchboard operator at The Franciscan Sister's of St. Joseph's Convent (weekends & evenings)...another job which I love! The nuns are wonderful and I love getting the chance to talk to adults again (as opposed to just children -- altho I do love "my" kids!) Throughout the years since highschool I have also worked part-time as an aide for an elderly lady who had a stroke, and as a driver for another elderly lady, and also at taking care of non-handicapped children as a "regular" babysitter. I just found these "story wizard" questions they have listed...so, I think I'll answer a few. My hero is definitely our Lord...there is no one on this earth who could take His place for me. My parents in Heaven are my heroes too...and my new husband and my little Nephew, Tommy Joe. They are both my "heroes" for various reasons.
