Rose's Story
Rutherford High School was great...I loved sports, Rammettes, Beta Club and Anchor Club. After graduation from Gulf Coast Community College & Florida State University (Seminole Swim and Track Teams, ASA Softball), I went to Germany for 12 years and continued to play sports until I was 36 years old. There I married Michael Brodersen and our daughter Dawn Leigh Brodersen was born 1989 at Hahn Air Force Base Germany. Dawn is 20 years old now and in 2008 received a softball athletic scholarship to play as a catcher at the University of California Riverside, Division 1. Her college major is communication and minor is entertainment & business administration. She wants to be a sports broadca...Expand for more
ster or coach softball. I completed my Masters of Science in Management from Troy State University; Doctorate of Business Administration from NOVA Southeastern University and currently work for the federal government at Edwards Air Force Base California as a senior program analyst in strategic planning and transformation. I hope to retire in about 5 years. Our 3 dogs and 2 horses, Zack and Topaz, keep me busy all the time. About the wildest thing I did at Rutherford is fall asleep in a parked car after Homecoming because I was exhausted only to be awoken at 1AM with a flashlight in the window (police)! I hope my friends remember me as a good team mate and caring about others. I pray all my fellow Rutherford graduates and their families are doing well, especially the 1971 graduates. I enjoyed my time in Panama City and think of Florida and you all with fond memories. Rose
