Michelle's Story
Life
1)Warren Township High School(IL)was such a nice school to be a part of, I really did myself a disservice by not putting more effort in my studies and activities there as a Blue Devil. I had a lot of good friends and we had some good times I'll always look back with fondness.
2)Going to Battery Creek High School(SC)was an experience I'll never forget. I was pregnant my last year there. I had a little girl and gave her up for adoption. It was the best thing I could do (for her). I had to wait 18 years before I could see her again but it happened. After she was born I moved to San Diego and finished school. 3)And then there is Mar Vista High School (CA) a very small part of my life however I did my best school work and attendance while there. It was hard being the new kid on the block as a senior. The cliques were already formed by the time I got there, so for a change I thought I would just buckle down go to class and do my work. With diploma in hand I moved up to Clairemont CA, and got married two years later. I've been married ever since. What a long strange trip it has been. I wish all of my classmates well.
I met my husband,(we'll be celebrating our 25th this year) he too was right out of high school, we bought an 18 wheeler and went on the road moving families and their furniture into their new homes. That lasted for ...Expand for more
3 years until my second daughter was born. She'll be going to SDSU this fall (Biology major). Me, I'm still working on my Accounting degree. I've been working as an accounting manager for the Outback Steakhouses of California until my husband earned a promotion with his company which moved us out to Florida. Wow how time flies when you're having fun. My life has had its ups and downs but for the most part I'm quite content. Oh yeah, we also enjoy grabbing our two Springer spaniels, loading up the toy box, and head out to the Imperial Sand Dunes in California to ride our quads. Ahhh... nothing like a good old desert sunset in October. Well here I am one year later and still living in Florida, wow what a culture shock. What can I say...? I do miss the dunes, the La Jolla sunsets and Oh, yea lets not forget about the Mexican food. In Florida I have seen my share of alligators, iguanas, and mosquitoes and the incredible fire ant. They all, in there own right are a marvel. The humidity is unbearable and the rain is constant. As a matter of fact I have seen more rain in the first 3 months of being here than all of my "25 years" in San Diego. The Everglades are beautiful, St. Augustine is my favorite get away, and when in the right frame of mind the Keys are the place to be for fun, sun and spirits!! Florida is a fine place to visit...
