Rosemary's Story
I have been married to Gary Campbell for 50 years and have 4 children, lots of grandchildren and some greats. We lived in Monterey Park in the 60's and were very active in the Monterey Park Jaycees. Then in late 60's we moved to Dana Point where we lived until 1978 and were very involved in the beginnings of St. Edwards parish. During this time Gary worked for a book publisher and we attended many book launchings and met authors and celebrities who wrote books. Then he went to work for a publisher of limited edition graphics by famous artists such as Rockwell, Miro, Peter Max, etc. and we got to host art show openings in galleries all over California. I managed a high end gallery in Laguna Beach for a year before we moved. In 1978 we moved to Pollock Pines in Northern California where we lived 28 years. It was a complete lifestyle change. We shoveled snow and heated with wood but decided we were getting a little old for that about 6 years ago and moved down the hill to Camino, which is called Apple Hill. It is an area known for apple ranches and wineries. We still get some snow but now it is in inches instead of feet. We live on a family 10 acre property where we have a fenced acre and I raise some of the more unusual kinds of birds and have 3 r...Expand for more
escue dogs. I quilt and scrapbook and garden and also work part time for a natural dog food company as a rep in pet stores on weekends. My husband is retired. I went to college when my kids did and graduated with highest honors and a degree in early childhood education. I worked in retail management, as a Headstart teacher and territory manager for a jewelry company traveling all over Northern Calif and Northern Nevada. I also had my own shop in Placerville for 5 years where I sold costume jewelry and accessories and gifts. I went to work part time to pay for the care of my blind, diabetic older dog and found that I love my job and being out talking to people about pet nutrition. We love spending time with our kids and their families. I have reunited with several friends from Mission through Classmates and have really enjoyed catching up. Jean Siterlet and I e-mailed each other 3 times a week for a year until she died suddenly and I really treasure those e-mails and that year of reminiscing. I have great memories of Mission football games and dances and the years I spent there and of the people that made those years so special. The picture is my daughter in law, son, me, grand daughter and my husband waiting for the bus after a hike in Yosemite.
