Rosemary's Story
Hi everyone! Just enjoying it retirement which is keeping me busier than when I was in the workplace. I am on the Board of the Megan's Wings Foundation which is a foundation that raises money for children with cancer. We work with City of Hope, Loma Linda Hospital and Kaiser Fontana. I am currently working with Kaiser to make the Family Waiting Room a more cozy environment for the families who stay there while waiting for their child who is receiving treatment.
I recently joined with my niece who lost her 25 year old son to cancer. We have renamed the pediatric waiting room at City of Hope "Kenny's Hope". We keep the waiting room stocked with food and coffee for the family of children with cancer. Thi...Expand for more

I have four children and 7 "grand-twits" - 6 girls and 1 boy. Since my husband passed away I've discovered traveling with friends and family. I also have to thank Sr. Beatrice Garcia for helping me through the death of my soulmate. I am also working on writing a series of children's books. My inspiration, of course, is my grandchildren.
I also crochet baby blankets. Since our family is going to be blessed with our 95th great-grandchild, I've been very very busy keeping those fingers moving! Every baby is someone new to love.
This year I discovered I had breast cancer. I've learned one thing in life through this - laugh a lot and believe in yourself.
