Rosenaldo's Story
It has been a life time since we all walk away from now a long memory of AHS. I did love my teenage years and little did I expect what experiences laid ahead in my life. Yes I did spend very little time in Albuquerque but with life unfolding the way it did the adventure was worth it. Coming from a little community farm, from a Spanish Land Grant just North East of the original Pecos settlement was an upheaval in its self when we move to Albuquerque. Little did I know I would fall in love with the planet earth? I do love the Asian communities but the other cultures all around me made me look at my roots. I can see why the Spanish Conquistadores could not be held by any one country or any one heart. I do want to thank all that have stopped to chat but life is still way to fast paced for me. I could have retired a few years back but I really like a lot of places on the planet and the choice is very hard. metal that has been fused together others are very distant but still a part of me. My sister Marylou recently told me the last apartment of what was old AHS was sold. A very sad moment for me as I remembered all of its history as well as the history I had there. I learned about race, war; anger and how friendships could subdue those monsters. I had some wonderful mentors in Gene Clements, Coach Valdez, and Mr. Francis Carey and Mr. Renfro. I know deep down being a Bulldog is part of all of us, however, being part of the Vietnam experience is a lesson in life everyone should learn. Hoorah, Hoorah, Hoorah to the brother hood that changed the world and made every person walking this planet think about human life. I love California and the Life style; I guess once bitten by California you can never go back. I have had the privilege to look at the world through the eyes of some beautiful people which makes my choice of where I will retire that much harder. Bulldogs always, MCB-5 always world traveler forever!
