Rosmarin's Story
Hey, class of '64, anyone actually remember me? I used my (former!) nickname at the time - Bunny - now use my much more dignified middle name, Elaine, which is much better than the dreaded "Rosmarin." Anyone out there take physics from Mr. Blasyk(sp)? Always remember being in his class when the JFK assassination was announced...he rather inappropriately made a joke... Anyhow, anyone else take journalism (honors English)? Don't remember the name of the teacher, but it was a great course - still remember some of the lessons I learned.
I ended up going to MSU for a BS and then to CSU San Diego for grad work in microbiology. Did cancer research for awhile, then married ...Expand for more
and was a Foreign Service wife for several years. After that I was my husband's paralegal / legal secretary which I remain today, as well as doing a bit of writing with a friend (we're on our 3rd mystery - really need to work on getting them published!)
How about y'all? Anyone else out here in So. California? Ever go back to Detroit? I've been reading about it in Time Magazine - makes me very sad - it was a good place to grow up - great bus system, great libraries, museums, a passable orchestra, decent zoo - what happened? My entire family had moved to CA by the time I finished college and I followed in 1969 - I haven't been back since. Do still love Motown, though!
