Roxanne's Story
Life
Born in DC, raised in Springfiled VA. Graduated Virginia Tech in 1973 in Architecture. Married since 1973. Moved to DC area, began working in firms continuing in architectural practice until today. Currently Senior Associate in Design for major architecture firm in Alexandria. Have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, two boys and two girls.
In April 2004, transitioned at work to begin life full time as Roxanne. I still live in Fairfax. Although I no longer feel I can organize, I'm glad to help out with Lee 68 reunions when they roll around. Consider that our 40th Reunio...Expand for more

School
I went to VA Tech, to earn a B. of Arch in '73. I dearly loved the school. Met spouse there.
Workplace
I have worked in the DC area since 1973 at various architecture firms in design capacity. I have designed hospitals, hotels, offices, retail centers and residential developments mainly on the east coast and some abroad. Though I love the practice of architecture, do not think architects make the money or have the lifestyle seen in the movies...it is a fantasy. We do it because we love the creativity, not the money.
