School
Attended Highland Falls HS 1962-65 (freshman to junior). Moved to Virginia and attended (graduated) Yorktown Sr. HS 1965-66.
College
Started at Texas A&M fall of 1966. Lasted until Spring 1968. In Corps of Cadets, Sqd 10. Struggled with grades. Uncle Sam wanted me, so I enlisted in USAF. Finished summer of 1972 and started back at A&M in the fall. Lived in Puryear Hall. Was Head RA. Graduated Dec 1974.
Workplace
Served in USAF from May 1968 to July 1972. Returned to Texas A&M University and graduated Dec 1974. Went right to work for Exxon Company, USA (now ExxonMobil Exploration Company) in exploration geoscience and have been there ever since. I was Presi...Expand for more
dent of the Geophysical Society of Houston from 2003-2004. Also elected and served a term as 1st VP of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists from 2006-2007. Retired from ExxonMobil end of December 2009. Currently a Red Cross Disaster Volunteer.
Military
Entered USAF in May 1968, Lackland AFB, TX. Avionics electronics school at Keesler AFB, MS July 1968-69 (exactly a year). Castle AFB, CA until Oct69, then a year at Utapao AB, Thailand. Oct 70 to Feb 71 at Beale AFB, CA. Then training at McConnell AFB, KS until Apr71. Then back to Thailand, Korat AB until July 72. Separated at Fairchild AFB, CA Jul72. Oh yeah, did a TDY to Kadena AFB, Okinawa from Jan to Feb 71.
