Roy's Story

Life After graduation, I chose the banking industry as a career. I was knocked off course for a few years when I was hit head-on by a drunk driver in 1986 near the University of Delaware. I suffered a serious head injury and was in a coma. The head injury was pretty bad and I had a lot of blood and swelling in my brain. Luckily, my Neurologist didnt have to drill a hole in my head to release the blood and reduce the swelling. I also suffered a lot of trauma to the right side of my body. I was in physical therapy for a couple of years 3 times a week for 5 to 6 hours. By the grace of God, I am alive and I thank him every day. e others who have not been as fortunate as I was. I met my wife Michele in 1993 while working at MBNA and we were married in 1995. She is originally from Michigan and moved to Delaware in late 80's. We presently have no children, but hope to in the future. We recently purchased a new home and it should be completed in the summer of 2004. I was on the reunion committee for the '92 reunion and I am looking forward to our 25 year reunion. Our son, Pierce Michael, was born on July 13, 2006 and we have been busy and yet walking on cloud 9! I have posted pictures .. he is something else (grin).
