Roy's Story
After graduated in 1981, went to WTSU x 4 years (B.S. Biology). Worked for the state x 4 years in Lubbock, Austin, and Plainview. Married in 1989. Had one child (boy) in 1989. He is now 19, and lives in Tennesee. Went back to school in Fall 1990, (divorced in 1991) & graduated from SWOSU school of Pharmacy in Weatherford, Oklahoma in May of 1994 with B.S. Pharmacy. (2nd child born in May 1994, he is now 14). Moved to Midland, Texas and worked for Walgreens, then moved to Carrollton, Texas in the metroplex in 1996 and continued with Walgreens....Expand for more
Remarried in 1998 to my wife Elizabeth. She is also a Pharmacist. We moved to Tyler in 1999. Worked in hospital as ICU Pharmacist from 1999 to 2005. Went back to school (again) and received Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) in 2003.
3 children in 33 months (whew), 5 year old girl, 4 year old boy, 3 year old girl. Currently work as Director of Pharmacy for Tyler Hematology Oncology (cancer clinic) and my wife and I are partners in our own Pharmacy also. I am very lucky to have had the opportunities afforded to me in career and family matters.
