Roy's Story
Life
I live in Albuquerque, NM, and am retired. After graduating from Alamogordo High, I went to NMSU, where I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education. I taught sixth grade in Las Cruces, and then was Acting Director of the Audiovisual Department at NMSU for a year and a half before going to Indiana University in Bloomington for a doctorate in Instructional Systems Technology (the old audio-visual education). I worked at the Agency for Instructional Technology for 14 years, then owned a gift shop in Nashville, IN, for 3 1/2 years, then worked at a church for four years and taught at Indiana University in the Instructional Systems Technology department.
While in Bloomington I was extremely active in the Bloomington Area Arts Council (the regional arts organization), Bloomington Restorations (a local historic preservation group), and Friends of the Lilly Library (Indiana University's rare book library). I also sang in my church choir for 27 years, and played in and directed directed their handbell choir.

worked for Access Innovations where I was Executive Director of the National Information Center for Educational Media for four and half years. Then I worked for e-psyche, another electronic database company for two years, before retiring to become Office Manager at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where I worked until January 2011.
In Albuquerque I sang in Quintessence - Choral Artists of the Southwest, a semi-professional mixed choral group for nine years and sing in de Profundis, a semi-professional men's choral ensemble, with which I have been associated for ten years. I am business manager (volunteer) for de Profundis, and maintain their web site (volunteer). I also sing in the church choir at Immanuel Church and direct the handbell choir. I am a volunteer with the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau where I greet visitors to the city at the Old Town Visitors Center.
We, of course, love being back in New Mexico. I missed the 40th reunion due to a family wedding. The 30th was such fun, and I sincerely missed seeing all you at the 40th. The 50th was fantastic!!!
