Roy Rogers:  

9/1/2008 I entered high school being called "Jimmy" and graduated being called "Roy". Coach "Boots" Jordan started calling me by my middle name and it stuck. So, if you call me "Jimmy", then I know you have known me for a long time. From high school, I went to JCJC and graduated in 1965. Best 2 years of any time I ever spent in school. I went to USM in 1965. On a weekend at home, in the Fall of 1965, I was riding my horse and she reared up and fell over backwards on top of me. From 1965 to the Spring of 1969, I was either in a body cast, in braces, or on crutches. I did manage to get my B.S. from USM in the Spring of 1968. From 1969-71, I worked for a finance company in Laurel, MS. From 1971-73, I worked in the naval architecture department at the shipyards in Pascagoula, MS. In the Fall of 1973, I went back to USM.
