Marty's Story
Gayle (Arcadia class of '77) and I live in Novato, a town in Marin County, California. We are 18 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. My career has been primarily in the newspaper industry which is what led us to Marin in '93. I was first Ad Director and then Publisher of the Marin Independent Journal. Since 2007 Gayle and I have operated Big Cat Advertising. Our clients include College of Marin, Yuma (AZ) Transit and the Marin Convention & Visitors Bureau. ad agency. My 15 minutes of fame...I won a Porsche with a hole in one at a cancer research golf tournament at Wilshire Country Club in 2006. In my free time I volunteer on the board of directors for several organizations here in Marin including the North Bay Children's Center and Marin Symphony. I see my college room mate and fellow SGH grad Scott Harvey frequently along with Blake Longo, Norm Morales, Dom Shambra and Frank Saucedo.
