Rudy's Story
Life
Graduate University of Akron in 1973 (BS Chemistry). I have worked in the tire and polymer industry since 1973, and also had a brief career in real estate sales--7 years part time and 1 year full time--(Merkle Realty in Kenmore). Currently I am manager of market development at a chemical manufacturing company and was the 2001 Chair of the American Chemical Society Rubber Division, the industry's technical association. My plans are to retire no later than 2017. I have two daughters, Stephanie (1978) and Stacy (1980), one granddaugher, Addy, who was born in November 2010, and recently (2009) was divorced from my wife, Susan, whom I married in 1994 following the death of my first wife. I remarried again in 2011 (another Susan) . I live in Fairlawn, OH, and love to play golf, visit wineries throughout North America, and travel to oceanfront destination...Expand for more

I bought an abandoned 11-acre vineyard in 2004 and built a 2-bedroom Italian-style (Tuscany) villa overlooking Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York, where I plan to retire for most of the warm parts of the year. Because I plan to live there just part time for the next few years, I also rent the home, primarily to family and friends, on a weekly or long-weekend basis.
