Russ's Story
Life
Well I didn't really do a thing after high school in regards to being responsible. I pretty much moved to Winter Park and was a ski-bum/constructionworker/mountain bike racer for about 9 years. Don't get me wrong it was fun and I ended up running the lift department but it wasn't amounting to anything but for some great stories.
Then my daughter Peyton came along in 2002 and that all changed. I moved down to Denver and got into commercial construction where I've worked my way from laborer to superintendent in 5 looooong years and got back into school for my Construction Management/(journalism/civil engineering not sure which yet) degree. So needless to say things are going a mile a minute. I go to see my daughter in Wisconsin every other month and talk to her on the phone every day which keeps me going and makes it all worth it.
I live, work, and go to school downtown so it works out great for me and I'm having the time of my life. I finally bought my first dirtbike in August of 2006 so needless to say that takes up all my free time and I even went so far...Expand for more
as to get another so in case I break one I can still go riding lol. Other than that I still keep in touch with quite a few people from good old W town, I just wish I had more time to spend with all of them.
I don't care who ya are get in touch. I don't think that there is one person from high school I wouldn't like to hear from. Drop a line and let me know how you are doing!
Edit 2008:
Weekend of July 4th. Unofficial psuedo class of 91 17 year reunion!! We're going to the Poison concert in Greeley that weekend and of course getting together for all the other festivities!! Get ahold of me or Scott Ruff for Particulars!! Do it soon so we can get this organized!
School
If I had to pick just one teacher who inspired me the most it would have to be good ol' Dallas Bruner. What a cool cat. He really taught me how to look beyond the cover of the book in all aspects of life. He also taught me how to appreciate the creative side of all things also. I'll never forget going over to his house with Jim Layton to drink coffee, smoke cigarettes, and listen to jazz records.
