Russ's Story
Wow, high school seems so long ago. My memory of it isn't very good at this point.
I married the head cheerleader at the University of Utah in 1976, we had four wonderful children but we ended up divorcing after nearly 28 years of marriage.
I took an early retirement in August of 2008. I have worked doing many things over the years. My main industry has been Information Technology where I have had the opportunity to lecture all over the country on computer automation strategies. I have worked as a Business Analyst, Systems Architect, Project Manager, but mostly in Data Center Management, it has been a great ride. sad thing is that I'm busier than Ive ever been before and don't know how I ever had time to work. The nice thing is that I do what I want, and that's great! I have the CEO of a software company trying to get me to go to work for him but Ive held off so far. Its tempting because I think I would enjoy the work and the money is good, but I'm enjoying life to much being retired.
I guess if I have a claim to fame, I have become very close friends with Dick and Debi Nourse of KSL TV and really enjoy doing things with them. I was invited to Dick's retirement extravaganza at KSL. He had served for 43 years and it was really an event.
