Russell's Story
After high school, I joined the U.S. Navy, and spent most of my enlistment in Bermuda. Upon discharge I came back to New Mexico and attended ENMU for 2 years. While there I met the girl that would become my wife, and we have now been married for 47 years.
Had planned on finishing my degree, but after my 2nd year I couldn't find a job in Portales, so my wife and I came back to Indiana. Although I was to start in January of 1970 back at ENMU, I took a job as ...Expand for more
a financial advisor in October, 1969, and I am still doing just that.
We have 3 daughters, 10 grandkids, and 6 great grandkids, and do we ever love being with them. In fact we all get together almost every Sunday afternoon, after church, for dinner.
I will always remember how nice the kids were to me after moving from Indiana at the end of my Jr. year of high school.
In fact, I loved going to school in Alamo, and have very fond memories of my time there.
