Russell's Story

OK...let's see...After I graduated, I went on to UNM and got a degree in Mechanical Engineering...1995. During my time at UNM I raced for the UNM Cycling team. 1993 we were ranked #3 in the country and actually raced against couple of future Tour De France stars. In 1994 we won a National Cycling Championship and attained #1 national ranking as a team. I was teram captain in 1995 so racing kinda took a back seat to running the team. I was able to travel all over the US during that time. Pretty cool actually. GO LOBOS! After I graduated I started working in Albuquerque and got married in Nov 1996 to my lovely wife Yvette! She brought her two boys to the marriage and we had or own soo...Expand for more
n after we were married. Our kids are 23, 18 and our daughter is soon to be 10. I am also a grandpa X2. yep. We now live in the Texas...never thought I'd live here...remember let's all learn to talk Texan on Q106? Well that's us. My job has me traveling a lot now. I go to Asia/China at least 6 times a year. My company owns a factory in China and it is my direct responsibility to run it. I can say this. Traveling is not really a lot of fun anymore but it does have it's high points. I have been to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Beijing and have seen the Great Wall. Later this year I will be going to Vietnam,Brazil, and possibly the UK. That's it in a nutshell.
