Hello,
I left the west bank in the summer of 1969 to enter the US Coast Guard. Other than a few short visits, I never returned. I guess I fell off the radar of West Jefferson High as I never received any news of reunions, etc. Not that I fault anyone, it was actually my job to keep the school/alumni posted as to my whereabouts.
I recently attended my first class reunion (40th) and much to my dismay I just did not know anyone or have the sort of bond that many seem to have. Just too many years gone by, I guess.
Over the years, I have spoken to a few grads/attendees. I have only regular contact with one person and he still lives in the area (Crown Point).
A little about me today: I live in Carencro, La. Carencro touches Lafayette on its north side. I have a hobby farm where I have a fruit orchard, vegetable garden, goats, chickens, rabbits, and, a soon to be in the freezer, pig. Additionally, we have a place...Expand for more

I still work full time (as an information technology specialist) for a company called First South Farm Credit. After the Coast Guard, I obtained a degree in Horticulture and my career and interests have always been agriculture related, although, for the last ten years I have been only involved in the computer/networking scheme of things here at work.
I have three children, one of whom recently died. I have several grandchildren, one of whom my wife and I raise.
I am very involved in my church, East Bayou Baptist, and in a program, called Celebrate Recovery.
