Russell's Story
Life
Most people knew me as a musician. I still am. Had some really cool gigs, and had 1 or 2 close calls with "making it." Then I eventually realized that I really did make it when I hooked up with my awesome wife and had 3 beautiful kids - Andrew 13, Jessica 10 & Jillian 2.
I own a nice little piece of sunny (formerly stinky) Staten Island, where I've been living since I got married in 1987.
My son is an above average baseball player, a good basketball player and suddenly an excellent budding musician too. All Rock for him. No Eminem. No Justin Timberlake. Turned me on to AudioSlave, System of a Down, etc... Turned him on to AC/DC, Zeppelin etc... Nice! Yet he still reminds me how uncool I can be just when I think I'm OK to hang with him and his friends. Damn!
My daughter Jessica is an incredible dancer and studies with a real ballet company. However, she's really good at everything she does. Kicked ass at soccer and basketball but dance is now taking over. She's also a great big sister/little mommy to our little...Expand for more

My little one Jillian. She is a pissa. 2 going on 12. Says and does everything; Goes wherever she wants; Copies her sister's ballerina moves; Has has an Ironic sense of humor since one, and basically runs the house and puts us all in our place. Looking forward to a bright future and putting many grey hairs on Mommy's and Daddy's heads.
I met my wife at Hofstra and married her the year after graduation. Best thing I ever did. She's an RN working in OB, studying to be a midwife. In fact, she gave birth to Jillian at home......and it was planned! That was the party of a lifetime.
I also have my own business (Very Cool Media, Inc), manufacturing CD's, DVD's etc..... for the music industry, advertising, publishing etc... It's not exactly playing Madison Square Garden, but it's cool because I work from home, make a decent living and can fire myself whenever I please.
I'd love to talk to some of my old friends. My family is still there but I definitely don't get back to Oceanside enough. Drop me an e-mail some time
