Russell's Story

Life After Hopkins, I went to Temple Univ. School of Medicine, graduated in '68, interned in Harrisburg, served Uncle Sam for two years and then did a radiology residency at Univ. of Vermont. I came to Maine in 1974 expecting to get in on the ground floor of a new medical school, which folded after I got established. I've been practicing radiology in Maine ever since, but now practice half the year (winter) in Fort Myers, Florida. My three sons are: Mark, 34, advertising creative in Seattle, WA; Brent, 30, MBA program at Carnegie-Mello...Expand for more
n in Pittsburgh; and Dr. Nathan, 29, is a resident in ophthalmology in New York City, recently married . My step-daughter Michelle is a junior at the U.of Miami (Fl) As of September 2002 I am a cancer survivor. We now have quite a few in the class, don't we! Every day is a gift. As of April 2008 I'm on the cusp of retirement, still splitting my time between Estero, FL and Auburn, ME (summers), still holding my own in the ongoing battle with the big C. One granddaughter in NYC, another on the way in Boston. See you at the 50th.
