Russell's Story
Hi to All who might care to know what happened to me: First I was to be a Grad of 1973 Class, but decided something on a different path. I quit school Jan 27, 1972. The following day Jan. 28th was my 17Th birthday & I joined the U.S. Marine Corps. I stayed in the USMC until May 1979 a little over 7yrs. I received a Honorable Discharge with a rank of Staff Sgt. USMC recruiter in L.A. Calif. & spent 6 months aboard the USS Iwo Jima Helicopter carrier in the Mediterranean Sea. Got married while I was still in the USMC & still am married, have 3 grown kids now 26, 30, & 34<- G-B-G. I went to work for Standard Oil of CA now Chevron in 1979 in Refinery operations in Richmond CA & recently retired after 28 Yrs. We live in Pleasant Hill, Ca. I work as a Professional Contractor in the Oil Business whenever a need comes along. I finished High School in the USMC & received my dipolma. Rec'd my AA degree.
