Russell's Story
Life
After H.S. I worked for 13 years at a drug diagnostic company. I left that job to purchase an auto radiator and air conditioning repair shop in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The purchase feel through and I found myself out of work. I went back to college and earned a B.S. in Sport Science and Fitness, while serving as an assistant football coach for Moorhead State Univ. At the same time, my wife (childhood sweetheart)received a Nursing Degree. We moved to Arizona in 2000 for me to pursue a Master's degree in Education. My plan was to move on to coach college football at a 1AA or division II school but.... my wife got a job in the NICU at Phoeni...Expand for more
x Children's Hospital and moved up the ladder into management and my plans have been put on hold. I currently substitute teach and coach varsity football, while building our new home on 1.25 acres in Queen Creek, Arizona.
I have 4 children ages 29, 27, 25, 23. My wife (of almost 30 years)wants grandchildren but none of my kids are married. I have two dogs (Labs) and 8 horses that are still in CA at my parents ranch in Escalon. I hope to get them here in a couple of months (once the barn is finished).
I'm leaning towards getting my Teaching Certificate so I can teach and coach at one of the projected five H.S. to be built in the our area.
