Ruth's Story
Hi all, most of you that would be here have seen me many times at the reunions. I am happy to say I was on 3 out the 4 reunion commities we've had. For those that haven't been to the reunions, I have been happily married to Tony Anderson for 31 yrs. now. We've got two girls ages 30 and 26. We have 3 grandchildren 7,5, and 3 that we love very much.
I worked at Northen Indiana Ceramic Supply in Griffith on and off for about 10 yrs. I have taught ceramics in my home, consigned them in stores and am ceritfied to teach. It was a great experience but we all know no one is doing hobbies like that anymore. I then was an assistant in two GED centers for a long time. Never thought I'd actually like teaching. lol Then I got an opportunity to buy a clothing consignment store and I grabbed it. We named it Alli's Attic after ...Expand for more
my grandaughter and it's in downtown Lowell. I've had the shop for 5 years now and love it. Lots to learn when you own your own business. Thank god I took two years of general business and 2 of DECA in high school.
Now that our kids are grown we enjoy so many things. We got a motorcycle in the past few years and really enjoy riding it. We love to flea market and find bargains for the store. We spend alot of time with our grandkids and do all kinds of things with our friends. I love to read but don't find alot of time for that these days. So life is good so far and I hope it continues that way. We've both had some medicial issues over the years, for me including breast cancer. So I 'm just happy to still be here and enjoy everyday to the fullest. I'm gonna quit now since I've babbled on and on enought already!
