Ruth's Story
My story is all about the grace of God and His forgiveness. It's an ongoing story of walking in a close relationship with Him everyday. He loves me like no other! He also forgives like no other! He's my Life! He's my story!
Been married to my best friend, Terry Smith since June 1977. We have 2 adult sons, Brian and Jeff. We have lived all over FL (Punta Gorda, Jacksonville, Zephyrhills, & Orlando) then moved to Pennsylvania in 1999. Dipped over into North east Ohio for 5 years and back to PA in 2006. My husband has been the church planting director in 2 districts (FL & OH) and now pastors a church here in PA. I love being a Pastor's wife and all that goes with it. Woo-Hoo!! :)
In 2014 Terry was elected to be the District Superintendent of the Eastern PA District of the C&MA. Now we travel all over the district encouraging pastors, their wives, and the churches. We love what we do!
In January 2014 God blessed us with a daughter-in-law, Lea, as our oldest son, Brian got married. And in October 2015 our first grandchild--grandson--will be born. Can't wait to hold him in my arms and tell him how much he is loved!!!

ee! And I am loving being a Grammie!!! It's the most wonderful gig I've ever known, outside of Jesus loving me.
In October 2016 we welcomed a new daughter in law as my youngest son, Jeff married his sweetheart, Kallyn.
There is nothing I love more than to be all together up here in our PA home!
2018 has been a year of big changes in our lives.
We added 3 beautiful grandbabies to our family. Sweet twin girls were born in May to our youngest son and his wife. And a sweet baby boy entered the world in November to our oldest son and his wife.
And the other big change came when Terry accepted the position of VP for Church Ministries of the C&MA and we moved to the state of Colorado. It wasn’t easy to leave our family in PA but from the very beginning of our marriage we vowed to follow wherever the Lord would lead us. We love living in Colorado but miss our kids and grandkids terribly. We get back as often as possible and are, in fact spending Christmas with them this year.
2021 has brought more changes. Another move. This time back to Ohio as our denominational headquarters is relocating to the Columbus area. And best of all, our son Jeff gave us an another grandchild. ❤️ We love living closer to our family!!!
