Ruth's Story

Life I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S., spent many years hitch hiking across the country, while walking on the wild side. Spent a few years in New Mexico, and love the desert. Lived in San Fracisco for seven years, what a place. Met my husband Bob in Singer Island, and moved to Maine in 1982. I have 25 acres and am 1/4 mile out in the woods. We lived off the grid for 13 years and went with solar power 3 yrs. ago, and it's grand and free, not to mention that it comes up every day. I manage the largest strictly nautical art gallery in the U.S., and have worked for this company for 11 years. My life is good and peaceful. My daughter is 36 and lives in N.H. and works for the state, and is trying to make me a "Granny". I still love music and sing all the time. In my younger years I sang with a few bands. My husband is still a working musician, plays guitar, bass & and keyboards, and is lead vocalist in his band. I'm looking forward to becoming a "snowbird" this year and leaving these cold Maine winters behind.I am still in very close contact with my two best friends Marlene & Peggy, and had a blast at the 30th class reunion. I would love to hear from any of my classm...Expand for more
ates so contact me. I live in a small village in mid-coast Maine called Appleton, and there are about 1,000 people in the town. We are 16 miles from Camden, so if you are up here or planning on coming to Maine let me know, maybe we can connect. The only thing I can't figure out is how I got to 58 soooo fast. They say time flies when you're having fun, so I would say I must have had a good time passing through this life. Many of our classmates I went to school with from Central Elementary through P.B.H.S., and you are all etched in my memory and heart. Remember Belvedere Homes, and all the good times. Pajama parties at Sheryll T's house and all you "bad boys" that used to crash them. Ah,"Sweet bird of youth". Marlene and Peggy say I have not forgotten ANYTHING, maybe because my family traveled so much due to my dad's job. It was an awesome life, and I have certainly made some great and long-lasting friendships.I would love to hear from anyone who would care to write. If you look me up in the yearbook, you will see my first name Delores, but most of you will know me as Ruth. I am an avid pool player, play tournaments, enjoy a good game of 9-ball and straight pool.........any takers?

This is the Best son n law you could ever want. And again my one n only child, Shelly.
Took 5 beauties off, have. 6 more that
will be ready in a couple days. That leaves about 8 more that will be ready in week or so. Sweet and juicy, but that is the extent of my veggie garden this year, just not enough energ
The last Stella d Oro day Lily for this year. These lillies bloom their hearts out most of the summer, but the intense heat of the last month almost did them in.
This is the extent of my veggie garden this year. Took 5 off yesterday. This plant when I got it, was the saddest little seedling I have ever seen. Totally root bound, shriveled up, I had bought a gorgeous hanging basket, a
