Ruth's Story
Life
Since leaving Washington in 1986, I moved to Los Angeles where I began to study music composition for film through UCLA Extension. In 1990, I participated in the
ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop and have scored several short films. For the past 10 years I have been working as a music producer and orchestrator for the television series, "JAG". My husband was the composer on the show and over the years I have occasionally written additional music for the show and sang on on...Expand for more
e of the episodes. I have been singing for a long time and have performed in various cabarets in Los Angeles. I enjoy singing rock, pop, folk and musical theater, but enjoy listening to many genres of music. I am currently spending most of my time raising my young child, but am planning to finish writing songs for a CD, performing again locally and trying to place myself for some film and television work as a vocalist (in between diaper changes, sleeping and feeding, ha, ha).
