Ruth's Story
Life
Much has happened since I graduated Norman Thomas H.S. in 1984. I married, had two lovely girls, divorced, and married the love of my life in August 2005. I attended Columbia University and proudly achieved not only my bachelors degree from the institution, I also obtained my masters degree. Both endeavors were accomplished while working at this wonderful institution.
I am currently an administrator with Columbia and plan to be here a few years more. It been a tough haul, but worth the effort. Thanks to God I've been blessed with ...Expand for more

College
After high school, two years later, I married and immediately started a family. I always wanted to return, so I did! I did it slowly, divorced while I was working on it, and loved every moment of my academic experience. It took eleven years to complete my bachelor's, but I did it. My bachelor's was not enough! I enrolled in Columbia's School of International & Public Affairs and completed my EMPA. My children and new hubby are my cheerleaders. They fuel me and keep me moving!
