Ruth's Story
Life has been interesting and even sometimes fun... Left high school and had my first child at 20.. After that I have 3 other, 3 girls and 1 boy. I worked and was a mom for what felt like a full lifetime. Now I am disabled and have 10 beautiful grandchildren. One grandson is in Afghanistan, and the rest are in CA and AZ. I miss them terribly but hey, you do what you need to do.
I am now in college finally and loving every minute. Going for my Master's degree in Business Administration at Grand Canyon University online. After 40 plus years out of school it has been unbelievably boggling... Just finished my philosophy class and my next two classes are English Comp and then the dreaded beginning algebra and then algebra 200. Oh my!! I flunked it in my junior year with Mr. Butcher and am bound and determined to pass it with flying colors.

ove being here. I found my birth family after many many years of searching and have 5 brothers and one sister. I am number 3 of the 7. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know them and them me.. I must say that the feeling of belonging and all of the similarities still has my head swimming but it was all worth it. My mom was still alive but had Alzheimer's... She passed this last March but I had a chance to spend 2 years with her even though she didn't know until just a few short hours before she passed who I was. The feeling of having her look at me and tell me that I was her lost baby was the best... Then back into the quiet void where she had spent the last 5 years. :(
So that is the sort form of my life... Today I spend my time doing school work and enjoying being back in WA and knowing that I am home even though there is no draw to Spanaway whatsoever... :)
