Ruth's Story
I live in Vermont with my husband of 25 years, Steve. He's British, and we have a second home in Worcestershire, England.
I left the Bay Area in 1989 when my employer Informix transferred me to their European Headquarters in England. After a year and a half in England, I took a marketing job with a Dutch Software Company - Uniface - outside of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 1992, I did the "corporate drop out" and moved to Vermont with Steve, and we purchased a bed & breakfast.

began splitting my time between summers heading up the marketing of the largest sporting event in Vermont, and winters working at a local ski area. The flexibility gave me the chance to travel a lot, and to live a very happy life. In the last year I retired from work life and am occupying my time with travel and volunteering.
I still identify myself as being a California girl, even though I've spent 2/5 of my life in Vermont. I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces at the 40th reunion.
