Ruthellyn's Story
I went to Westminster High School in the 9th and 10 grades. We moved and in 11th and 12th I went to Garden Grove High School where I graduated a semester early. I then went to work to earn money for college. My mother and I moved to Los Angeles where I attended Immaculate Heart College in Hollywood. r about 2 years. I decided to go back to school to CSULA to get my teaching credential. I began teaching in LAUSD while living in Echo Park. After 4 years, I got a job in El Monte and stayed for 6 years. I then made my final district change and started working in Walnut where I have been for the last 20 years. I am now a counselor of 370 students, married with no children, and feel good about my life's journey!
