Life I could not wait to get out of Jersey and its a good thing I did. when I got to Florida I only had two hundred bucks to my name and let me tell you it was hard till I got a brake and took a job with Pepsi cola in 96 as a mechanic on the lines and fillers. It was a good job but what started with a lot to learn soon ended and I did not even have a full year in yet. I started asking some of the guys who had been for a long time what they were making. At that point I started looking for a better job. It was 1997 when I got the best job a 22yr old kid could get. I was working for G.E (General Electric) they had a contract with Florida D.O.T on the intercoastal waterway drawbridges. I was responsible for seven bridges from Jupiter inlet to Boyton beach. All I had to do was preventive corrective maintenance once a week. So I could inspect 3 bridges on monday and 4 bridges on tuesday then be on call the rest of the week.
