Ryan's Story
Life
Well where to begin... I originally moved to Deptford in 98' and lived on my own for 2 years before the reality of bills caught up with me. After some hard times, and tough decisions, I decided to join the military. Since I was a little kid, I have wanted to be a career firefighter, and with the military's help, I should be able ot make my dreams come true within the next couple of years.

I didn't realize how long it had been since I updated this profile, so I wanted to sit down and update things a bit. I now live in South Carolina, just outside of Hilton Head Island. I was offered a firefighter/emt job with the town of HHI back in October of 2006, so needless to say when I had the opportunity, I packed my bags and moved down. I'm still ...Expand for more
single, and have no kids. I bought a brand new townhouse last November, and quite frankly, life couldn't be better. I love the area, the weather, and of course having the job I always wanted since I was a little kid, is priceless. Look forward to seeing everyone in November at our reunion......
Military
I enlisted in April of 2002 out of the recruiting office in Woodbury. I spent 1 and half years on a guided missile destroyer, home ported in Norfolk, VA. I spent 6 months out to sea during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and got to visit countries like Greece, Turkey, and Portugal. I am very proud of my accomplishments to this point, and wouldn't change it if I could. I current work for the base police in Groton, CT, and will be here until my enlistment is up in 2006.
