Rynette's Story
Life
Divorced after 22 years of marriage. I have three of the best children a mother could ever have. Have accumulated over 72 college credits and still don't have my degree yet. I have had a great life, even though it was really extremely hard at times. My only regret... I needed to take more time and care for myself as a person and individual and realized that I was worth my weight in GOLD! I am damn AWESOME!
Having been given a second chance at life by beating Follicular Lymphoma, Type B, Stage 4. I know that it was only by the grace and mercy of God that I am here today. I was very blessed during my treatments and the only thing that I hated were those steroids I had to take cuz it made me gain all kinds of weight. Before starting my treatments I could actually say that I only weight 3 pounds more than I did the day I graduated from school. No worries though, I am working on getting it back off and before I know it I will be back in my size 8-...Expand for more
10's. Can't wait!
So, I am single and hate it! Several people I know have said that they would never do it again. You know, I don't feel that way. I loved being married; just married the wrong man, and stayed married too long. I do know that if I do get married again one day, it will be for all the right reasons, unlike the last time.
I have returned to my island home, however, Oahu Island has been ruined so I have moved to the cradle of my ancestry, Maui Island. That is where my great grandmother's both came from; Pa'i'a and Lahaina...It has been an extreme blessing to find so many of my relatives.
Can't say how long its been since I was here, but I know it has been years...Anyway, all my elders have passed and it has taken much to adjusting to being the oldest. No my brothers don't count! PMSL...
