Life Hmmm... I never thought about what it would be like to write my curriculum vitae at age 50. Not that I didn't think I would make it to age 50, but at age 20 or 30, I didn't think about the fact that the things I was doing (or not doing) would end up in my bio on Classmates.com. Had I thought about it, I might have been a little more attentive to all those years that were roaring past like racecars on the track at the Indianapolis 500. Ah well, no matter; besides, so many of the details seem so boring or pretentious or self absorbed (maybe all three? - how many kids/grandkids I have (none), how rich and famous I am (I'm not), how wildly successful I've been (depends upon how you define success), whether I'm married, divorced, or separated (I always just answer "single" to this question; otherwise, it can get complicated), what I'm doing for a living (working as a writer/editor), where I'm living (Germany), what I like to do with my free time (travel, digital photography, write), what I did after we graduated, (I joined the Navy and spent the next 20 years saluting, floating around the ocean on ships, and living in foreign countries).
