SANDRA's Story
I really have not looked at my yearbook in the past 50 years, but lately friends of mine have been talking about their "big reunion" and I got my yearbook out and started going through it. Lots of memories have come back that I have not thought about in ages. I only went to one reunion. I should have gone to more and kept in contact with old friends and have just found out it is too late now for one. I regret very much that I did not get to see my old friend before she died.
Philip and I have been married for 44 years, have three children and six grandchildren. We moved to Rockwall, Texas (East of Dallas on Lake Ray Hubbard) in 1972. It was a very small town when we moved here. Living in a small town was new for me, but...Expand for more
I soon grew to love it and we have no plans to ever move. When I told people I went to PHS, everyone reminded me that Rockwall High went to State the same year that Pasadena did.
We have traveled a lot, been several places, worked hard building up our business (title insurance company), raised three children, enjoyed life, got through some medical crises, just generally going through life, but slowing down lately. Our daughter, Kathleen has been fighting cancer for seven years. We have made many, many trips to MD Anderson in Houston these past seven years and now she is going to start a Clinical Trial, beginning June 26. I want to come to the reunion, but it will depend on how Kathleen is doing. Sandra Vanlandingham Hail
