SUSAN's Story

I attended El Capitan from 1962 to 1963. I didn't graduate but I went to school with almost everyone in the class of 1965 from grade school on. I think I attended every school in the Lakeside School District because my family moved probably twice a year but always within Lakeside. I got married at age 16 and was married for 22 years. My ex husband and I bought our first home when I was 18, in the first housing tract in Lakeside on South Mountain Drive. My husband was a custom window covering installer and I worked for La Mesa Interiors as my first job and spent many years in the retail interior design/décor industry. We have 2 children, a daughter and son. We stayed in Lakeside until 1976 when we moved to Ramona. I have lived in Ramona ever since. I ...Expand for more
live in the beautiful community of San Diego Country Estates with the love of my life, my second husband. I had a career in retail management and was lucky enough to retire 16 years ago. My husband is an engineer in the tech industry. I have two beautiful grandchildren. I hope to attend the Class of 1965's 50th reunion. Although I didn't graduate I won't forget all you "kids" I went to school with most of my youth and would love to see as many as I can. I moved so much I can't say as I had a BFF from school days (although my BFF I did meet at the school bus stop when I lived in Santee and was bussed to El Cap before Santana High was built. She and I are still BFF's 50 years later.) I loved all the kids I went to school with. Do you remember me? :)

My BFF Linda's husband made this table. They have a home on 17 wooded acres in Tennessee so he has plenty of wood for his projects.
