Jennifer's Story
Life
I married Guy Woodmansee from WAFB and moved with him to California when he got out of service. We lived in Ventura-which I loved!- for a year or so but have been in the Modesto and Stockton area for most of the last almost 18 years. We have a 12-yr-old son, Derek and a couple of dogs and a cat. I've been at a local Office Depot, presently as Admin. Ass't, for almost 11 years. Guy works at a lumber and hardware store in Escalon where he went to middle and high school. It's a lot like Knob in lots of ways. Our son plays a lot of baseball and football and can probably outdo anyone in sports trivia- even from before his time! Wish he was so passionate about school. He does well there too, though. Great to learn so much about so many familiar names from the past!
Update - I am now a dept. mgr. at my same employer and our son is a junior in high school! Unbelievable! We just visited back in the Sedalia and Lake of the Ozarks area this past summer (2004)but didn't have a lot of time to lo...Expand for more
ok up very many folks. We now live in town in Escalon in a great older home we bought a couple years ago.
Update #2 - Well, it's now nearly the end of 2006. Derek graduated this past May and now works a few days a week with his dad at the lumberyard and a few evenings a week at a local pizza joint. He's going to Modesto Jr. College and taking general ed. and electrical courses. He's not sure what he'll do from there although he talks about working at a local utility co. I finally left Office Depot in 8/2005 and now have a much shorter drive to my job at a new Target. I've been there for over a year now. It's been a tough job - I'm not sure people realize how much there is to running a store like that...I sure didn't even with all my past experience! I'd love to teach a course in being a courteous shopper too!!! OMG! And our store is in nice new development with very expensive homes. I still check in here every once in awhile, looking for old familiar names. Would love to hear from you!
