Stephen's Story
Life
Throughout my school days music had been my focus. After high school I spent 3 1/2 years in the Marine Corps playing in field bands at Quantico and Pearl Harbor. After discharge I remained active in music, playing clarinet and saxophone; I also taught clarinet and saxophone for eighteen years Although music is my passion, laboratory medicine feeds me and my family.
Military
While at the Naval School of Music I got to observe what happens when a sailor ignors reveile at the hands of a Marine Gunny.

en Anniversary of graduating I think of the things that brought me from the walking the aisle to get GHS diploma to where I am now. Two major events since 1972 were the U.S. Marine Corps; Mr. Herbert Sealbach prepared me for all the Marine drill instructors that I dealt with. Then getting a bachelor degree from University of Arizona; Mr. Herbert Cramer prepared me for this by giving me the confidence in doing something way out of the music sphere. I give a huge thank-you and attitude of appreciation to both of these great teachers and mentors.
