Agnes (Aggie) Barrasso was 78 yesr old and I was blessed to of known her and the rest of the Barrasso clan, Dad-Hugh, Nora, Beth, Bob, Rick and Pat. While in town this weekend I got to meet Joey Kennedy and was informed by him that his brother Billy (the one who nicked named me ChopChop) back in elementary school at St. Josephs in Tucson lives in VA and owns a music store. bkmusiconline.com I have fond memories of those St. Joe's days and most of my graduating class are now getting their AARP cards in the mail now, so Happy 50th Birthday to all of you folks! God Bless - Chopper
3/01/09:Happily Married 24yrs now, We have 2 desert rats ages (18-17 Meg&Ryan), Still playing drums, Attended our 30yr in 07, and getting ready for 50 now. Most of our class is about a half century this year Carumba Bubbaloo!Still haven't put a St. Joe's Prizon Camp Reunion together. Maybe one day.
Now that the reunion has pasted, I am grateful for all the friends we gain over the years. God is gracious to let us experience friendships and my very best friend is my Beloved Johanne. I met her while attending my oldest brother's church in Mission Viejo, Ca. I was playing guitar and leading worship for a college-young adult group and I kept noticing this one particular girl always coming in late for our get togethers. She caught my eye and now I am glad to say that we have known each other for 28 years. 5 years just dating and then while attending college together we married in 1985. plete my B.S. at CSULB majored in Hlth ED and minored in marketing. Got very involved with computer distribution in sales and consumer software for Ingram Micro. Then started working in other types of sales for vendors of hardware and software companies. While at Ingram both Johanne and I worked there as a couple, which does not occur to often in companies. We had the time of our lives working for a corporation and then our kids came into our lives and family became even more delightful. Sure things have changed with my jobs over the years but one thing constant has been our commitment to our marriage and our belief that God is in control no matter the circumstances in this life.
I was truly blessed to hear that many of my classmates from Rincon are still married too and it makes me glad to know that other folks are working at it the best they can. No one has a perfect marriage, just a graceous Father.
My wife is still late for most events and I have learned that I am not suppose to change her, but go with the flow and learn to enjoy every moment!
Now are kids are in marching band in HS and it is like a reward to me that they took up an interest in music. Even though I refussed to be conducted by our Mr. Gimmes, because I liked the bluegrass group better with Sandi Brassard and Jane Cromwell. Anyhow kids do better when ever they get envolved with an activity in school. My wife and I are very thankful for these teenage years and we are enjoying them to the fullest. Especially when we get to go to their Friday night football games and their marchingband competition seasons.
