Life I was born in Alameda, went to Porter School k-8 and Alameda High freshman through Senior. I went to Felt and Tarrant Business school and got my first job at Sherwin Williams Paint Factory as a Bookkeeper. I married my husband in July of 1957. We've been married for 47 years. We have three kids 2 girls and one boy. We have 6 Grandchildren 5 boys and l girl. We've enjoyed watching them grow up. Now we are both retired and enjoying traveling. And just doing what we want when we want. This retirement is wonderful!! While I was first working at Sherwin Williams I was engaged to be married to one of our schoolmates. Things didn't work out and we parted ways. Soon after I met my husband of 49 and 1/2 years. I continued to work at Sherwin Williams after I was married and had two daughters. I decided to stay home with them in 1965 and I had a childcare service in my home. In 1971 I took a little girl to the Doctors and they asked me if I would be interested in a job at their office. They would train me for three months to be a medical assistant and bookkeeper. At that time I was ready for a change so took the job. I would be off work in time for my children to be home from school. Oh I also had another child right after I quit Sherwin Williams, this time a boy.
