Sally's Story
After graduation from GHS attended Akron U for 2 yrs, majoring in education. Quit to work full time in the Valley for a general contractor with a patent on pre-fabricated high-rise apartments. Became a purchasing agent for the company and lived in Tehran, Iran to procure materials for our largest project, building 33 apartment buildings for the Shah's Imperial Guard.
Got married and returned to the states shortly after the Iran Revolution started.
Briefly lived in West Palm Beach, FL for about 6 mos, taking time off to fish for large-mouth bass and enjoy the sun. Moved to PA where I lived for 10 years. During that time I returned to college and this time earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught elementary school until divorcing in the mid 80's. Had 3 truly beautiful step-daughters that kept me laughing and enjoying life.

obtain a Master's in Educational Technology and Computing. At that time the University of Houston's Clear Lake Campus was one of the few schools in the country to offer a Master's in Computing that could be used in either business or education.
Married my best buddy, Steve, in 1990 on Galveston Island and Texas has been my home ever since. In 1993 we had a son, Jake, our greatest blessing . He will graduate high school in 2012 and wants to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach to become a pilot.
I retired from the public school system in 2005 and started a small handcrafted jewelry business, specializing in Vintage, Bridal, and Southwest collections.
My newest endeavor was having my mom and dad come to live with us in 2008. We lost Pop last spring but what a blessing to still have my poker-playing, 91 years young Mom here with us.
