Life I have been married for 39 years, will be 40 on May 16, 2005. I have 2 children, 1 stepdaughter, 9 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. My Husband's name is Ronald Childs. He was in the Air Force when we got married. In 1966 I joined him in Okinawa and stayed there until 1969. From there we moved several times, but I never got to go overseas again. Ron retired in 1974, we came to Houston because that was the only place that had jobs at the time. He went to work for an Oil Company, I went back into the Medical field. After 2 years in the Medical field, I changed and went into Mortgage Lending. I worked my way up in that field to Underwriter, Auditor and I helped several companies get started and one company I got approved to do FHA lending. I helped a savings and loan set up their secondary marketing department and became well known nationally as an underwriter. It was fun, I sold and purchased loans in the Millions of dollars, so I had lots of fun handling all that money. I also became well known for my knowledge in Truth in Lending laws. Fact is, I had the opportunity to work with the individuals that made the laws for TIL and RESPA since I understood the math and they relied on me for help when changing the laws.
