Life After graduation from Wilson I went on to Earlham College, from which I graduated with an English major in 1962. I taught for two years in Elyria, Ohio, then married and moved to the Pittsburgh area. I taught one additional year in Fox Chapel, PA, before retiring to stay home and raise children.... I married Warren Porter in 1964; we were divorced in 1986. We have three children: Adam, who is a religion professor at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL, Laura, who is an ESOL teacher in Amherst, MA, and Lydia, who is a management analyst in San Jose, CA. Adam has two boys, aged 9 and 7; Laura has a litle boy who just turned two; Lydia has a little girl who will be two on Christmas....I have lived in Maryland since 1970 and worked as an English teacher and reading specialist at Blair High School until June, 2004, when I joyfully retired. I've traveled extensively, own a comfortable home, have wonderful kids and friends. Life is good!
