Sam's Story
Life
After graduating from Turner in 1973, I attended West Georgia College. There I became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Also while there, I met the woman who was to become my wife. Her name is Angela. We have been married since 1979. We have 2 sons, born in 1981 and 1990. I also have a daughter, who was born in 1976. I received my BBA in Management in 1978.
After we were married, we lived in Smyrna, GA and moved to Chattanooga, TN, when my employer transferred me there in 1980. We moved back to Atlanta in 1983 and to Cobb County in 1984, and have been there since.

ents. Though now retired from it professionally, photography remains a hobby.
I still attend the same church I grew up in, Dixie Hills First Baptist Church. It is less than a mile from what used to be Turner High. I was chosen to serve on the Deacon Board in 1984 and now serve as Chairman.
In 2004, I helped form the Carrollton/Douglasville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and served as the first chapter Polemarch (President). Through the chapter, I plan to focus on community service. There is a need in our communities for Black men to pitch in and help save our children. I view this as an obligation and a privilege. Our chapter is committed to this effort.
