Simone Sam's Story
Life
After high school I worked in Ohio building basements for two long summers in a row. I did a lot of traveling around the US and Canada those two years, returning to San Diego for the winters. I went back home and studied electronics for two years at Mesa then worked as an electronics technician for 10 years at Kyocera. I earned an electrical engineering degree and worked for DSP Technology for 12 years starting out as a field engineer, and finishing as an applications and sales engineer. Kathy started working in Romania in '93 and I made a lot of trips to Europe for two years while working around the US and holding down the home front in Detroit. It’s now April 2023, Arkansas has been a great environment to raise children. Both boys thrived and exceeded all my expectations. Spent a lot of time visiting my oldest son at UIUC, and now the youngest is at UMichigan - putting some miles on the car. We lived through Covid no problem, feeling a little guilty for appreciating the quality time at home with the family.
