Samantha's Story
Time really flies when you are raising a kid. My son is going to be a Junior in college and initially attended two different Universities, he was at Old Dominion University for Mechanical Engineering; however he decided to change his Degree to Computer Science and switch schools to Norfolk State University where he about to start his third season in the Marching Band. This year he is the co-line Leader of the Tenor line on the Drumline for the Mighty Spartan Legion at Norfolk State University, which is a nationally ranked (Top 10) HBCU Marching Band per ESPN. He also played with Drum Corp International last summer and intends to try out again He has a girlfriend of three years and a half years and he is a much better kid than I ever was, lol!

nce March of 2015. However, that hasn’t slowed me down that I missed many important things in my son’s life as he finished high school, graduating 5th in his class. He’s very goal oriented and straight edge but still has a lot of fun. Except he’s grown his hair out into a surfer cut which makes me smile to see the California come out in him.
While we didn’t get to go see the Washington Captials play this season, we certainly enjoyed watching the Stanley Cup finals on TV and watching them win the first one in Franchise history ❤️🏆!
The best part of Retirement is for those who remember me from high school, I was always dyeing my hair and I’ve been both purple and am currently blue right now and I love it. It’s so freeing.
I feel blessed with my amazing husband, son and the best extended family anyone could ask for!
